Do Children of Avraham Avinu have to reaccept the Torah to claim Jewish status?

After Avraham Aveinu accepted the Torah in its entirety on himself, were his descendants legally Jews or were they still legally like everyone else - sons of Noach - until we receive the Torah at Mount Sinai?
